These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply when you visit onwardbillingcoding.com or buy and use Medical Billing & Coding Fundamentals (the “Course”), offered by Onward Billing & Coding, a Pennsylvania business (“we,” “us”). By buying or using the Course, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Course
The Course is a self-paced online course for general learning about medical billing and coding and for studying for the AAPC CPC® exam. It includes lessons, quizzes, flashcards, practice tests, a final exam, and a Certificate of Completion for students who meet the completion requirements described on the Course pages.
2. Important disclaimers
- Not accredited. The Program is not accredited or approved by any state board or accrediting agency.
- No guarantee. No job or exam result is guaranteed. The course is offered for general learning and to help you study for the AAPC CPC® exam.
- Not affiliated with AAPC. Onward Billing & Coding is not approved by, endorsed by, or affiliated with the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) or the National Healthcareer Association (NHA). The CPC® credential is awarded only by AAPC. CPC® is a registered trademark of AAPC. CPT® is a registered trademark of the American Medical Association.
- Not a credential. The Certificate of Completion shows that you completed the course. It is not a professional certification, license, or credential.
3. Price and payment
The Course costs $249 (U.S. dollars), one-time. There is no subscription. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number. Any tax that applies is shown at checkout.
4. Access
After you pay, we send your course access to the email address you used at checkout, usually within 24 hours. Your access is for you alone. Please do not share your access, password, or the Course content with anyone else, and do not copy, resell, or republish the Course.
5. Refunds

6. Certificate of Completion
The certificate is issued in the name you type when you create it. It records that you completed the Course and passed its final exam. It does not grant any title, license, or professional credential. We do not offer online verification of certificates.
7. Your progress
Your progress, quiz answers, and notes are saved in your own web browser on your device. They do not move to other devices, and clearing your browser data erases them. We cannot restore them.
8. Course content
The Course content is written in our own words and belongs to Onward Billing & Coding. Code descriptions are paraphrased, and all patients in examples are fictional. You will need your own current CPT®, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS Level II code books. Coding rules change every year, so always check the current official code books and guidelines.
9. No warranties
The Course is provided “as is.” We work to keep it accurate and up to date, but we do not promise that it is free of errors or that it covers everything on any exam.
10. Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, our total responsibility for any claim about the Course is limited to the amount you paid for it.
11. Changes
We may update the Course or these Terms. If we change these Terms, we will post the new version on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
